Race Filming with JLOffshoreMedia

JLOffshoreMedia will be covering all RORC Races this season, creating mini documentaries to capture the real essence of offshore racing. JLOffshoreMedia is run by RORC Committee member John Loden and he is looking for boats and/or crew who would like to have him along as onboard videographer.

The films from the last two seasons can be seen here. John wants to make the videos more inclusive by using footage from a range of different yachts in each Race.

John is running a short interactive Workshop at the RORC to discuss the project and the kind of footage needed to create this year’s Race films.

At the Workshop, John will discuss and share tips about:

• the different types of popular cameras and their pros and cons

• the shots that work and the shots that don’t

• how to tell ‘stories’ 

• how to get interesting sound.

Free for members, £10 for non-members.
