Saturday 1st May Bank Holiday Weekend CLASSES: IRC, Two–Handed Division, Class 40, Multihulls – See General Conditions Appendix I and II. Organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club in association with the Société des Régates du Havre and the Royal Yacht Squadron. TROPHIES: Cervantes Trophy – BCT IRC; STABILITY: SSS MINIMUM BASE VALUE: 15 or STIX MINIMUM 23 and AVS MINIMUM SPECIAL REGULATIONS: Offshore Special Regulations Category 3 with RORC prescriptions plus Category 2 liferaft. ENTRIES: Close Thursday 22nd April START: Saturday 1st May from the RYS Cowes, to the East FIRST WARNING SIGNAL: 0750 HIGH WATER: Portsmouth 1408 4.60m COURSE: Suitable flexi course(s) finishing in Le Havre will be designed to last between 24 and 36 hours. The Race Committee will design the course(s) in the light of prevailing weather conditions. POINTS FACTOR: 1.00 RACE HQ: Start: RORC Office, 82 High Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight, PO31 7AJ PRIZEGIVING: In Le Havre as soon as possible after the race. RORC Medallions will be presented on Tuesday 18th May 1930 at the Clubhouse, 20 St James’s Place, London SW1. All crews welcome. TRAVEL: Ferries: Ld Lines: Portsmouth-Le Havre 2 crossings each way daily – (Portsmouth 08.30 & 23.00, Le Havre 17.00 & 18.30) Travelling time from: 3 hours or overnight. All times local. |
