Cowes Clubhouse: Weddings

Steeped in history, the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC), Cowes Clubhouse is a magnificent building set on Castle Hill.
With outstanding views of the Solent, the Clubhouse is an extremely popular venue, with members, guests, and visitors from around the world.

Whether you are planning a lavish reception for hundreds or an intimate affair for close friends and family, the elegant architecture, stunning landscape and luxurious surroundings provide all the ingredients for your special day.

Here at the RORC we attend to every last little detail. Whether it is candles, vases, mirrors, chairs or flowers, we ensure that it is perfect. Our expert team knows that the finishing touches are vital to creating the perfect ambience that will make your wedding unique.

Our team of chefs use only the finest local produce and have an extensive selection of gourmet menus and innovative ideas to impress wedding parties with their delicious delights.

Cowes Clubhouse: Disrespect Accommodation

The Disrespect is the Club's self-catered accommodation, located on Cowes High Street, above the Club's Race Offices.  

The self-contained building provides self-catering accommodation and is ideally situated in the heart of Cowes. Boasting beautiful views of the Solent and just a five-minute walk from the marina and the Red Jet Terminal

  • Kitchen Diner - First Floor

    The Disrespect is split over two floors, and each floor has a kitchen/diner space. As well as it's own bathroom facilities on each floor.
  • Twin Room

    There are four twin rooms at the Disrespect. Two with seaviews and two which over look the High Street.
  • Seaview - Room 6

    Room 6 is the only double room in the Disrespect and enjoys so spectacular views over the Solent

Cowes Clubhouse: Accommodation

The Cowes Clubhouse has twelve bedrooms in total, with four en-suite rooms that have facilities, and a further eight well-appointed bedrooms with adjacent bath or shower rooms. All the rooms benefit from a hairdryer in each room, tea and coffee-making facilities, and free Wifi throughout the Clubhouse. 

  • Candida Room

    Candida - one of our en-suite rooms. An exquisiute double room at the back of the Clubhouse.
  • Westward Room

    A twin room on the first floor, Westward is now an en-suite room following recent development.
  • Velsheda Room

    Velsheda is one of our rooms that is not en-suite, but makes up for it with stunning views across the Solent.
  • The Clubhouse operates Winter and Summer Opening accommodation rates.
  • These rates are inclusive of VAT and include breakfast the next morning. 
  • Non-member stays are permitted and subject to a £25.00 non-member fee per room.

The RORC was founded in 1925 to encourage long distance yacht racing and the design, building and navigation of sailing vessels in which speed and seaworthiness are combined. Today the club encourages ocean, long distance and other forms of yacht racing and yachting activity.
